This page provides a specific and supplementary description to our Privacy Policy on how we handle information obtained through Google APIs and explains the limitations imposed by Google ("Google API Services User Data Policy" and its Limited Use requirements).
1. What is this integration?
JIM offers the ability to connect your Google account to our application with your express consent via OAuth. This integration provides two features:
Scheduling: automatic synchronization between your JIM.com appointments and your Google Calendar, ensuring changes made on either platform are reflected in the other.
Jim Chat: our virtual assistant Jim can view, create, edit, and delete events directly in your Google Calendar, based on your instructions, to help you manage your schedule.
2. What data do we access?
With your consent, we access only:
Profile information associated with your Google account: name and email address.
Your Google Calendar events: title, description, date, time, and attendees.
We do not access any other data from your Google account beyond what is strictly necessary for the features described above.
3. How do we use your data?
Google Calendar data is used exclusively to provide the scheduling synchronization and calendar management features described in Section 1 of this notice.
We do NOT use this data for:
- Targeted, personalized, retargeted, or interest-based advertising;
- Selling to data brokers or providing to information resellers;
- Determining credit-worthiness or for lending purposes;
- Creating independent databases unrelated to the service;
- Training artificial intelligence or machine learning models;
- Surveillance or monitoring.
4. Security
Google Calendar event data is stored in our infrastructure to enable the continuous operation of the integration. Security measures applied include encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, role-based access control (RBAC), and access monitoring and audit logging.
5. Sharing
Data obtained via Google Calendar is accessed internally only to provide the features described in this notice. We do not share this data with third parties, except to provide a service requested with your consent or as required by applicable law, regulation, or court order.
6. Retention and Deletion
Data obtained through Google APIs is retained only for the time necessary to provide our services. Users may request the deletion of their Google data from our systems at any time through the contact channels indicated in our Privacy Policy.
You may also revoke access at any time through your Google account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
